Regeneration 1997-2000
What is “nature” at this time in our cultural evolution? Everything once thought inherent to human and nature is not stable, but changeable, mutable and vulnerable. Juxtaposing elements of “nature” with found and fabricated objects suggestive of scientific experimentation and alchemy, I create bodies for the inventive space of the imagination. Identity is permeable, volatile, vulnerable, visible and invisible. My perspective oscillates between intimate and distant, in which I see the macrocosm and the microcosm. As the action of seeking provokes change, change is the constant.
